Understanding TraDoc

Limits and responsibilities

Linguistic quality, document fidelity, confidentiality and provider costs.

Translation remains probabilistic

Quality depends on the model, prompt, context, language pair and text. TraDoc reduces processing-pipeline errors but cannot guarantee absolute literary accuracy or perfect editorial consistency.

Reconstruction depends on the source

A clean, semantic EPUB reconstructs better than a malformed file. PDF is primarily a page-layout format: extraction can confuse columns, headers, hyphenation or footnotes.

Providers have their own rules

Rate limits, pricing, retention periods and data policies belong to the selected provider. TraDoc does not turn a remote API into a private service.

No direct public exposure

TraDoc has no application accounts. For Internet access, add an HTTPS reverse proxy and suitable authentication.

  1. Test an excerpt in the sandbox.
  2. Translate a small representative document.
  3. Inspect several segments.
  4. Open the export in the target software.
  5. Have the text proofread before publication.
