Public demo

Security boundary and differences between the static demo and self-hosted product.

The public demo is a dedicated Vite build of TraDoc's real frontend, available at demo.tradoc.lucas-homelab.fr.

Guarantees

  • No FastAPI backend.
  • No SQLite database.
  • No AI provider.
  • No configurable key or token.
  • Fictional data and translations.
  • Actions simulated in browser memory.
  • Reset on reload or through the dedicated button.
  • Excluded from search engines.

Imported files

The browser File remains in volatile memory and is not uploaded. When no real translation exists, the demo export preserves the original container and extension instead of manufacturing misleading Markdown.

Run locally

From the product repository root:

npm --prefix web run dev:demo

The demo listens on 127.0.0.1:2505. For another device on a trusted LAN:

npm --prefix web run dev:demo:lan

Reverse proxy and HTTPS

Put TraDoc behind Caddy, Traefik or Nginx without exposing its internal ports.
