Troubleshooting
Resolve port, provider, import, progress and export problems.
Port 8000 or 2499 is already in use
An old process is still running or another application uses the port. Stop the previous TraDoc instance cleanly, or run:
.\.venv\Scripts\python.exe main.py dev --api-port 8001 --web-port 2500403 during the connection test
Make sure you are using the interface served by the instance, not an old tab or another origin. Check ALLOWED_ORIGINS and the selected LAN mode.
Provider offline
Check process, URL, key, model, firewall and network access. In Docker, localhost does not refer to the host.
Import rejected
Check the extension, size, archive integrity and presence of a text layer in PDFs. Review MAX_UPLOAD_BYTES, MAX_ARCHIVE_ENTRIES and MAX_ARCHIVE_UNCOMPRESSED_BYTES.
No preview available
At least one segment must be complete. If nothing has been translated, the server returns a conflict instead of a false result.
Reconstruction impossible
A block may be missing, the source structure may have changed or the input file may be absent. Do not manually delete data/jobs/. Restore a consistent backup if required.
Server stops after a change
With --reload, Uvicorn restarts after a Python change. If the complete supervisor exits, start one instance only and check that no child process still owns the port.
