Local network access

Use TraDoc on a phone or tablet on a trusted LAN.

Trusted LAN

.\.venv\Scripts\python.exe main.py dev --lan

Vite listens on all interfaces while FastAPI stays on 127.0.0.1 behind the development proxy.

On the other device, open the Wi-Fi address reported by Vite, for example http://192.168.x.x:2499.

Every device on the network can access TraDoc

--lan is for a trusted home network only. Never use it on public, guest, shared or otherwise uncontrolled Wi-Fi.

403 errors

  • 403 Forbidden: the origin was rejected or a write request came from outside the expected frontend.
