Configuration
Models and connection test
Verify the endpoint, retrieve models and diagnose an unavailable provider.
Procedure
- Choose the provider.
- Verify the base URL.
- Enter the key if required.
- Run the connection test.
- Select a model actually returned by the provider, or enter its exact identifier.
- Run a short test in the sandbox.
A successful connection test does not prove that a complete book will succeed: it mainly confirms that the endpoint responds and accepts authentication.
Automatic discovery
For compatible APIs, TraDoc requests the model list. Some providers do not expose this endpoint or filter results by account; in that case, use the identifier documented by the provider.
Local endpoint unreachable
- Check that the LLM server is running.
- Allow network requests in LM Studio or Ollama if TraDoc runs on another machine.
- From Docker, replace
localhostwith the host address defined by your Compose configuration. - Do not expose the model port directly to the Internet.
Allowed host list
ALLOWED_LLM_HOSTS can restrict the destinations the backend may access. When set, the endpoint host must appear in that list.
